Landfills environmental problems Projects we have been involved with Redlands Shire Council in South East Queensland have been using Enzymatic in two areas of their landfill site. Enzymatic has been sprayed onto the pit face for odour control using a 1 to 30 dilution rate. In a pit well that drains off the excess moisture Enzymatic has been used full strength to break down the black sludge and control the rather repulsive odour, as this has to be manually emptied on a regular basis. Landfill environmental problems Word Enzymes Australia were fortunate enough to be involved in trials to combat the rather large odour problem that exists with any large land fill area. At this time every thing is on a trial basis and our solution is only one option available. This sequence of photographs shows the work that we have been involved in, which includes the design area for the application for this specific purpose. We have made it clear that odour control should start at the transfer station which would reduce the need for further application at the landfill face. We worked with Mr. David Low at Pacific Waste and Mr. Campbell Foster along with their Environment & Infrastructure Consultants Rust P.P.K. Pty Ltd.
